Fun Stuff about the Artist

Life on the Street

While attending a business conference in Austin, I ran across a homeless guy sitting on the sidewalk with a cheap guitar, wanting to learn to play it. In my suit and tie, I sat down with him, showed him how to tune it, and began showing him a few things. Before I knew it, we had attracted a crowd. So I played while he sang. He actually had a pretty good voice, and we made quite a bit of money in tips. I had a pretty good job at the time, so I let him keep all the money.

Later that night, feeling all good about myself, I walked into a nice hotel, noticed a beautiful piano in the lobby, and started playing it. A few moments later the manager came over, told me to stop, and kicked me out. Go figure.

Embarrassing Moment

While setting up and ready to perform at a high-end country club, I sat down and started to play. My fold-up stool suddenly collapsed below me, dropping me and the guitar to the floor, knocking over my PA, causing a loud feedback roar through the establishment. (Bar and dinging room) Everyone in the room turned to see.
I was okay. The guitar was fine.
So I got up, grabbed a stool from the bar, and proceeded.
Then I asked the crowd, "So, did everybody enjoy the floor show?"
Everybody laughed.
My old stool was quite old, and had extended it's life. But I really liked it. So I purchased another one just like it.
And I laughed when I received it. Because on the box I read the label which stated, "Fully Collapsible".

My Instrument

Taylor Acoustic.
I love this guitar. It was given to me as a gift on my birthday a few years ago. It was slightly used, but in perfect condition.
Upon further examination, looking at the serial number, I discovered that had actually been manufactured ON my birthday some years prior. Too Cool!
I also use several other guitars, keyboards and sound modules.
Yamaha Electric Piano
Korg 01/W keyboard
