More About Danielandfriends

I have played music since I was a kid. I played around Nashville for a couple of years then went into the United States Army. Stayed in for 6.5 years then was let go for knee and back injuries. I attended Berklee College of Music online for Songwriting/Guitar. My influences started with Greenday, Nirvana, Alice in chains, but over time I've grown to enjoy bands like Killswitch Engage, Alex Claire, City and Color, Beyond Sorrow, In This Moment, and a slew of other's.

I currently play with people in and around my local area. I will be having them play and sing with me so I can do more songs and keep you guys entertained!

Fun Stuff about the Artist

Life on the Street

I've never played on the streets in all honesty. I played in bars that hosted open mic nights and "writer's in the round" nights in Nashville. The wildest moment would have to be almost getting into a physical altercation with another songwriter because I actually said he was better than me. To this day I am still baffled by the whole situation because I did buy one of his CD's but eventually gave it back lol.

Embarrassing Moment

Most embarrassing moment was when I played at Douglas Corner with Mrs. Judy Rodman. I got to do a "Writer's in the Round" with her and one of her other students and I ended up snapping a string while tuning up on stage. I was horrified because I didn't have anymore guitar strings, I was poor and couldn't have a steady supply lol. I heard people laughing in the back of the place and it almost made me want to quit but I took a big breath and did it anyway lol. Turned out to be one of the best shows ever for me. I think the string breaking helped me get over the whole "what if I mess up" because I already did lol.

My Instrument

Man... my first instrument... It was a small Martin acoustic. My dad bought it for me when I was in Jr. High and when I couldn't play anything other than Marry had a Little Lamb I stuffed it into a closet. 3 years later I was back on it playing green day and eventually traded it in on an electric and amp so I could play the louder stuff.

I do not have a name for any of my instruments.
