That said, I love life. That includes all of the above. As I sail around in circles, I look back on my roots of music and realize that I making music is one of the best forms of self entertainment and joy.
I noticed along the way, I attracted some great talents in my life that helped me along. It's a blessing.
Through those connections, I've busked some of the finest cities in the country doing music, magic and comedy...
I never intended to get rich and because thoughts are things I guess they came true, but there are just enough people in this world that appreciate what I do that I've been paid along the way. Shown better ways and taught to have multiple streams of income.
So today I continue to have fun. I join the party. Keep 'em entertained and walk with a few extra bucks and some great contacts for the future.
I love my life, friends and the World we live in. Thanks.
In 1974 I thought I'd go do magic on the streets of San Francisco and make a couple of bucks. They ate me alive. BUT that didn't get me down.
Over and over I worked and performed until it made sense. Then just last Thursday, I noticed that it was a carrier. Go figure. How did that happen.
I always played guitar, and more recently ukulele and tossed that in when it was needed to kill time between shows. I still do.
So Magic, Music and Comedy became my work of choice.
As for sailing... 46 years of it. I do all this stuff on the boat for my clients now as I do sailing charters, and excursions. It all works
So there you have it. Just enjoying life and continuing to reach out and touch people with what I do so well...
You know... I'm embarrassed at most of the stuff that I do. You'll notice that if you watch regularly. But there was this one time...
Brother Dan Palmer and I teamed up as the "Partly Brothers" back in the 1980's. We were on the road working where we could in little bars and rooms around the west coast, Nevada, and Arizona.
Since I had the background of working the streets we found some shows and started doing some busking, invited or not.
We were doing a bullet catch during the show and one time the gun went off, and instead of setting off the black powder, and creating a large boom, it just set off the cap and a little, tiny pop happened.
Being the actor I was I expected the "Boom" and proceeded to take the hit, fall back and lay on the street like I was shot...
Bummer sure I had the bullet, but the excitement was gone. No one knew what was going on, but the show continued. Way too funny. Not such a good hat... Dang
I play a Parkwood guitar and a Cordoba ukulele, a Honor harmonica and a kazoo. I always have a deck of cards a coin and a piece of rope too. It's hard not to drop a little magic into the performance.
Pirate Jokes? Sure. Enough said...
