Nothing to wild, but I love performing on the streets. I have met so many different types of people and other street performers. They all have their little quirks and their own unique talent. I have been working on a project called Word On The Street, which involves me gathering some of these musicians and jamming, writing, and recording with them on some of my material. It's still in the process, but I've enjoyed every minute even though I still struggle day to day.
Don't really have any embarrassing moments as a musician. Once, when I was busking, a chick stole 5 dollars out of my case on a saturday night on 6th street. I stood up and yelled Hey! Hey and her boyfriend said something like. "you talking shit to my girlfriend" and I just told him you can keep the dollar (actually a $5) I didn't really care anyway. Which is true. Money doesn't hold a spot in my heart, it's just necessary to get by. This happened in front of all the drunk people on the street and I suppose I was a little embarrassed for about 2 seconds, but then I let it go, told the due i hope he buys something to eat with it... and I meant it.
I have a Martin D-1GT, but it's in the pawnshop for a couple more weeks, so I am playing my girlfriends 1970's Yamaha red label acoustic. I have named my Martin.. Jenny after the jenny from the movie Forrest Gump. That's my favorite film and I relate to forrest on many levels, him and Pooh Bear. I actually have an iq around 145, but I relate with them in the sense that they are 'simpleminded' like children, and full of innate wisdom which they are truly in tune with.
