Nothing too crazy happened to me whilst performing on the streets, i've been moved by the police a few times but thats about it!
One event does come to mind but its about me in an unprofessional state.
I was in Liverpool with my girlfriends having a few cheeky bottles of wine, by midnight I was wasted and noticed a small Asian man busking in the streets, me and my false sense of confidence marched straight up to him, grabbed the mic and started slurring along to Journey - Don't Stop Believing!!
In an 'Only Way Is Essex' accent I suddenly became the DJ of Liverpool streets, shouting things such as, 'OiOi Liverpool', 'how we doing tonight', 'we're getting lively'... bla bla, I was talking drunken gibberish but the punters seemed to like it as they cheered me on, encouraging me to make more of a fool out of myself... initially i forgot what happened until the next morning I received a txt only to find the whole thing on video.... cringe!!!!!
Embarrassing moment - I was booked to play Water Rats in London, it's a small venue but the band before me brought a load of their friends so there was some sort of atmosphere. Once the band had finished they left the venue... every single person in that room went with them, leaving me and my band to set up and play to no one!! One girl did walk in and cut some sympathy shapes on the dance floor haha there was only one place to look and that was straight at her 'awkward', it was a very intimate performance, me singing my song Do It In The Car at her.. you can imagine!!
